All interns receive training and exposure to the skills necessary to have a successful career in the broadcast industry. The internships typically continue for one semester: June, 2009-August, 2009 (Summer Semester,) August 2009-December 2009 (Fall Semester,) and January, 2009-May, 2009. (Spring Semester.) The interns come from a variety of sources, including Louisiana State University (LSU) and Southern University (SU.) Citadel distributes information regarding its internship program by registering with the Marketing Departments of LSU and SU. All of the interns are college students and receive college credit for the internships.
